In our yesterday’s post, taking the on-going tablet wars into consideration, we showed you the comparison among some of the most competing Tablets. The infographic illustrated in the post lists down the basic details of the Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy, ViewSonic G Tablet, Malata PC A1001 and the Dell Streak 5.
Today we are going to compare two tablets, one is the on-going winner, the Apple iPad and the other one is the upcoming Tablet “Playbookâ€, also quoted as the BLACKPAD, from blackberry.
Playbook comes with a 7 inch touchscreen (LCD) whereas the Apple Ipad comes with 9.7 inch touchscreen (LED) and the weight is .9 lbs vs 1.5 lbs respectively which makes blackberry more handy than the Apple iPad. The upcoming playbook is Small yet Powerful because it comes with the adobe flash player which helps it to access various contents online, whereas the Apple Ipad does not have this thing.
The Blackberry Playbook sports a USB slot whereas the Apple iPad lacks this feature. As compared to Apple iPad, the blackberry has inbuilt forward-facing Webcam which enables the video conferencing.
The apple has a safari browser whereas the blackberry has a blackberry browser. Playbook as the name suggest the book with which we can play offers a 1 GB RAM to do multi tasking easily and in competition Apple has only 256 MB RAM.
The blackberry Playbook has a micro USB port whereas the Apple lacks this feature and one can not atttach his camera to transfer pictures to the iPad.
The only thing that comes into my mind is that Apple iPad comes with 16 GB and 32 GB variants and has a battery life of 10 hours, and no such declaration is made from RIM(research in motion) regarding the battery life and storage space, if it has to give a tough competition to the iPad, it has to be fair enough to compete.
Below is the summary of the comparison that we have done between the two devices:

I think Blackberry Playbook, with its awesome features like twin cameras, USB feature, lesser price and Flash support is going to give a tough competition to the Apple iPad. What do you think? Which one is your final choice among the two fighters in the Tablet Wars 😉
Although play book looks cool, I dont think it will compete with Apple’s iPad, since the brand of Apple is much more than Blackberry.
I completely agree with you, but i think the Blackberry has the better hardware configuration than the Apple so I can say its completely baked up with all the required applications too and provide neck to neck competition to the Apple.
The unfortunate truth that has been proven time and time again with such products as the Apple Iphone and the HTC Evo is that unknowing consumers are wooed by Apple’s charms into buying their products regardless of how they actually stack up against the competition.
