I still remember the initial days when I entered into this huge world of blogging. My first blog was hosted on Google servers via Blogger and after a few months, I got a bit more fond of blogging and soon after, made the move to self-hosted wordpress blog.
I started with DreamHost shared server like every newbie blogger and stayed there for quite long. Being hosted on DreamHost for around 3 years, I did not face any major issues and would recommend this for a newly started blog. However, for the past few months, on multiple occasions, Technolism and Equitipz faced lot of downtime issues.
I took advantage of the huge Black Friday sale from HostGator and made the purchase in November last year, and with the help of the HostGator migration team, Technolism was migrated from Dreamhost to Hostgator servers last month and I have not faced any issues so far.
Although the move was made a month back, I wanted to share the transition information with our worthy readers. Anyways, I am getting used to the hostgator configuration and settings for now and will definitely be sharing my new experience with Hostgator.
And although I was not facing any major issues with Dreamhost and used it for around 3 years, I will soon be writing a post on why I moved to Hostgator from Dreamhost.
Hostgator is definitely the way to go! Ive been with them since I started back in 2007 and have never had a hosting problem.
I hope I would also have a great stay with HG 🙂
I think its a good decision by you and i am also planning to move from local host to Hostgator.
It would be the right move mate.. I havent faced any issues so far 🙂
